Ten Books I Want to Read

I know, I know.

I said I wasn’t going to post until the new year but I finally got the time to actually sit down and write up a new post and read this year’s batch of books.

In the new year, I decided I want to read that I have collected over the few years. I have collected at least 100+ books and 90 of them I haven’t read yet. So I decided I’m going to go through my TBR list and read them, the number of books I want to read is still undecided. But there are books I absolutely want to read next year and I decided to make a post about it.

The Gentlemen’s Guide to Vice and Virtue by: Mackenzi Lee

29283884

Goodreads Summary:

Henry “Monty” Montague was born and bred to be a gentleman, but he was never one to be tamed. The finest boarding schools in England and the constant disapproval of his father haven’t been able to curb any of his roguish passions—not for gambling halls, late nights spent with a bottle of spirits, or waking up in the arms of women or men.

But as Monty embarks on his Grand Tour of Europe, his quest for a life filled with pleasure and vice is in danger of coming to an end. Not only does his father expect him to take over the family’s estate upon his return, but Monty is also nursing an impossible crush on his best friend and traveling companion, Percy.

Still it isn’t in Monty’s nature to give up. Even with his younger sister, Felicity, in tow, he vows to make this yearlong escapade one last hedonistic hurrah and flirt with Percy from Paris to Rome. But when one of Monty’s reckless decisions turns their trip abroad into a harrowing manhunt that spans across Europe, it calls into question everything he knows, including his relationship with the boy he adores.

This is Emma’s chance for revenge—and Julian’s chance to get back his brother Mark, who is being held prisoner by the faerie Courts. All Emma, Mark, and Julian have to do is solve the murders within two weeks…and before the murderer targets them.

Their search takes Emma from sea caves full of sorcery to a dark lottery where death is dispensed. And each clue she unravels uncovers more secrets. Sometimes It reached up, seizing, tearing, killing…

The adults, knowing better, knew nothing. Time passed and the children grew up, moved away. The horror of It was deep-buried, wrapped in forgetfulness. This is going take some dedication with the other books I have. I buy books faster than I can read them and I’m slowly going through the list, so why not start with these ones since I just recently bought most of them.

Wrap-Up: Summer Reads ’17

This year I didn’t do to well with reading the amount I wanted to read. I’ve been in reading slump the entire year and I’m slowly getting out of it. I was hoping over the summer I would catch up on the number of books I’ve read and I fell behind. Now that I’m back in college, I went back today and yes the Solar Eclipse happened today too and the college was slammed with visitors wanting to see it. I live in Colorado and we got lucky to see 90% of it.

Anyways, I’m back in college and I’m in my last stretch of it before I graduate in the Spring. During this time I will be reading at a slow pace because of the five classes I’m taking and possibly getting a job.

So, over the summer I only read three books. I originally thought I read five books but I was wrong. But I did finish the books I wanted to finish before moving on to the next books. So let’s get on with the books I have read over the summer.
